SF8 has been given me grief recently too.
Me, UAD and Sony s/w aint getting on very well these days. Maybe it's not UAD, but is wondering if anyone else has experienced it? It might save me the time I need to do some more experimentation to see what is causing this. I don't recall this ever happening with any previous versions of Vegas / UAD. It's really doing my head in as it's spoiling my years of adapted workflow. This helps a lot, although not always perfect. My work around is selecting LOOP to OFF and highlighting just before and just after the sections I want to render. It starts off with a click / small chunk of audio (not sure what part of the highlighted section this is, if any), then often just the reverb followed by a big chunk, without or without FX, of the rest of the audio. It doesn't render the exact selection I highlight. using "render loop region only", this is when I got the problems. When I came to render selected chunks of my work, i.e. I have been doing some foley edits and layering in Sony Vegas 8 Pro (using latest update / version), mostly using UAD plugins.
